Northwest Resource Management Group (NWRMG) of Seattle, Washington has announced plans for a new 414-unit condominium named "Cielo Vista" on a 2.8 acre site at the southeast corner of East Washington Avenue and Veterans Memorial Drive in downtown Las Vegas.
"We are thrilled with the unanimous approval by the city council and we look forward to providing the citizens of Las Vegas affordable loft-style condominiums with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and city lights," said Steve Hartley, Partner of Northwest Resource Management Group. "We are not looking to compete with the multi-million dollar condominiums near the Strip. Our goal is to offer affordable, luxurious homes for those that will make this their primary residence. Providing more affordable homes on the edge of fast-growing urban areas is a model that has worked very well for us," Hartley added.
The first floor of the project will have 32,000 square feet of retail. Above that will be six floors of parking and 18 floors of residential units.
During discussion of the Cielo Vista plans Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman said, "These may be the smartest guys (developers) down here," in reference to Cielo Vista’s anticipated price point of approximately $315 per square foot which is about $100 less per square foot than the average price for new condominium projects in the area.
